Nowadays, with the aluminum profiles manufacture developing, more and more people adopt aluminum profiles to decorate the floor, corner, and edge of stair, wall and so on. So this aluminum profiles request to be made very thin and small, some can reach to 0.2mm. Because the technology requirement of producing thin aluminum profiles is higher than thick aluminum profiles and normal standard aluminium profile, so it will affect the selection of aluminum extrusion press tonnage capacity, Pump, valve model  and so on.

How to classify the thin aluminum profile?

At China, we classify the wall thickness of aluminum profile as follow:

 The thin aluminum profiles for building material:  less than 0.6mm    

The thick aluminum profiles: more than 1.0~1.2mm

The thin aluminum profiles for decoration: around 0.3~0.4mm

Ultrathin aluminum profiles: less than 0.3mm

It is easy to extrude the thick aluminum profiles, but it is hard to extrude the thin aluminum profiles with high output. Usually the selection of Chinese plunger pump model for aluminum extrusion press:

V190 for thick aluminum profiles;

V170 for thin aluminum profiles;

V160 for normal thickness aluminum profile

Now we would like to share about the information about Rexroth piston pump.

Rexroth ram pump have a lots of advantages such as high accuracy rate, low noise, stable performance and so on. But there is a small shortcoming that if displacement is less than 0.3, the performance is not stable enough. It will not good enough for extruding the very thin aluminum profiles. If we adopts Rexroth pump, we will adjust the configuration to install at our machine.

In all series of Rexroth pump, A4 series is perfect for aluminum extrusion press, because this pump cost is very high, we adopt to above 1800T aluminum extrusion press, Then adopt A7 series for small capacity of below 1800T aluminum extrusion press.

Because A11 series is new product in the market, it asks for very high requirement of working environment and is suitable for industry equipment. The practice shows that it is easy to failure at the aluminum extrusion plant because there is too much dust in the aluminum extrusion plant. So we prefer to use China V190. If your pump is Rexroth A7VO190, and the runing is not stable, we can guide you to change it to China V190 pump,  and change the oil pipe. China V190 pump will be more stable and you can save your production cost.
